The Garage Alpha Hyper Fuel Baffle / Surge Tank Cover pays homage to the awesome Hyperion / RS Engineering unit which ceased production many, many years ago.

The OEM fuel tank is extremely shallow and the fuel pump and pickup are situated on the (LHD) drivers side of the car - in winding left-hand turns fuel can slosh away from the pickup and starve the motor.  The Garage Alpha Hyper Fuel Baffle / Surge Tank Cover was developed to reduce this fuel slosh and ensure proper fueling needs even when running below 1/2 tank of gas.

The Fuel Baffle / Surge Tank Cover was designed to offer the benefits of an external surge tank without the associated cost, complexity and safety issues. This is accomplished by converting the plastic baffle that surrounds the factory fuel pump into an in-tank surge box.

The Garage Alpha Hyper Fuel Baffle / Surge Tank Cover fits the OEM fuel pump as well as the Denso (Supra), Walbro and Bosch 044 pumps without any modification. Other pump configurations are possible to clearance whatever setup you have. The system works with every type of Mazda RX-7 [FD3S] including RHD vehicles.
